Zazen Master

Zazen Master

My feet crunching on broken glass.
I stare in disbelief at the destruction,
The mirror that broke the illusion,
Penned from right to left
By this zazen master
Who writes love poems in reverse.

Through fiction she sets the world on fire.
By making her lie obvious,
This clever Master
Reveals both sides of the coin;
Breaking the illusion of its’ dichotomy
And uncovering its’ unity.

Lier lier, rule breaker.
Upside down vision.

By definition,
Every assertion reflects a denial;
An opposite conviction
Only invert the disavowal.

“It’s true everything I say is a fib.
Believe me I’m a lier!”
Exclaim the Zazen master.

It’s not just mathematic,
But also poetic,
that a double negative
Turns into a positive

Lier lier, rule breaker.
Upside down vision.

She skilfully deceives us then folds the stage,
To divulge her trick on the page…
The coin spins around the axel of paradox
Revealing the unity of the two sides
That use to be dichotomy;
A conflict that didn’t need to be.

My feet crunching on broken glass.
I stare in disbelief at the destruction,
The mirror that broke the illusion,
Penned from right to left
By this zazen master
Who writes love poems in reverse.
